Youth Futures Foundation - An update

Background

Youth Future Foundations is an independent, not-for-profit organisation with the desire to improve employment outcomes for young people from marginalised backgrounds. They were looking for a designed intranet to inspire employees. 

ThinkShare worked with an intranet product to design a beautiful branded intranet, utilising the charity's recognisable colours and font to make the pages feel more inspiring and increase intranet usage. The result was a central employee engagement system that connected users across regional hubs.  

The Challenge

A few years later following a Valo being discontinued and branding update, they needed an intranet refresh. We had one month to complete the OOTB SharePoint intranet and the team worked well together and it was completed on time. 

The Process

Our client had hoped to deliver the intranet themselves but found they did not have the time they needed to undertake the project so brought us in. We ran through our usual project process at an accelerated timescale to ensure it was delivered within the month. This was achieved with bi-weekly meetings to present, amend and approve each stage within one week. 

While we were undertaking this work, out client was diligently working to prepare all the content they needed for each page of the site so that when we came to the build stage we were ready to go. We worked really well together as the client was clear as to what they needed and were able to provide quick sign off. 

The Outcome

The new SharePoint site has been really well received with staff and is performing well. It has improved sharing of news and information and created an intranet which is easy to use. Feedback from users has been hugely positive.
