AI readiness

Know where AI will pay back, and whether your data is ready.

A structured assessment of where an AI assistant or agent would save your organisation real time, what each opportunity is worth, and what needs to be in place before any of it goes live. Platform agnostic, so the findings hold whichever tools you go on to adopt. From £4,995 plus VAT for organisations of up to 50 users.

What is included

Three questions the assessment answers.

An AI assistant answers from whatever a user can already reach, and it only earns its cost where it takes real work off people. The assessment looks at both sides and gives you a plan you can act on before any licences are bought.

Where AI would pay back

We work through the organisation team by team to identify the tasks and processes where an assistant or an agent would save measurable time, and size the benefit for each one.

Whether your data is ready

A review of permissions, sharing, ownership, retention and content quality across your systems, along with the duplicate and stale material that would otherwise be drawn into answers. We run Orchestry across the whole tenant rather than a sample, so the findings cover everything.

What to do first

A prioritised roadmap with the time and resource each opportunity takes to implement, together with the governance, licensing and training that needs to sit around it.

How we work

How the assessment works.

01

Scope

We agree the systems in scope, the access we need and the people in each area we should speak to.
02

Interviews

An hour or so with a handful of people from each team, so we understand how the work is done today and where the time goes.
03

Audit

We review permissions, sharing links, ownership, sensitivity labels, retention, and duplicate and stale content across your live environment.
04

Report

A findings report with every opportunity costed and ranked by benefit and effort, and every readiness issue ranked by risk.
05

Roadmap

A plan your own team can run, covering the fixes, the governance, the licensing and the order to take the opportunities in.

After the assessment

What usually comes next.

Most assessments end with a set of fixes and a shortlist of processes where an agent would save time. These are the services that pick them up.

SharePoint governance

Ownership, permissions and lifecycle rules so the tenant stays in order after the fixes.

SharePoint governance

Data security

Oversharing and broken permission inheritance closed off across the tenant.

Data security service

AI governance

Acceptable use policies and controls for Copilot and other AI tools.

AI governance and security

Microsoft 365 Copilot

Deployment, training and adoption once the tenant is ready.

Microsoft 365 Copilot

Custom agents

A working agent in production for one of the processes on your shortlist, built against your own content.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

What is an AI readiness assessment?

A structured review of two things: where an AI assistant or agent would save your organisation time, and whether your systems, permissions and content are in a state to support one. The output is a findings report and a prioritised roadmap you can act on.

Why assess readiness before adopting AI?

An AI assistant answers from whatever a user can already reach, so the quality and the safety of its answers depend on the permissions, the ownership and the content that are already in place. Establishing that first means the tools are useful from the start, and that nothing is surfaced to people it was not intended for.

What does the assessment look at?

On the opportunity side, the tasks and processes in each team where an assistant or agent would save measurable time, with the benefit sized for each. On the readiness side, oversharing and broken permission inheritance, sites and workspaces without an active owner, anonymous and organisation wide sharing links, sensitivity label and retention coverage, duplicate and stale content, and the licensing and capacity the rollout will need.

Is the assessment tied to a particular AI platform?

No. It is written to be platform agnostic, so the findings and the roadmap hold whichever assistant or agent you go on to adopt. Where that decision has already been taken, we size the licensing and capacity for your chosen platform as part of the work.

How long does the assessment take?

Three to four weeks for most organisations, depending on size and on how much access is available at the start. You receive a findings report with the opportunities ranked by benefit and effort, together with a plan that your team can run or that we can deliver alongside them.

What does the assessment cost?

From £4,995 plus VAT for organisations of up to 50 users. Larger organisations are quoted once we understand the number of systems and teams involved, and the figure is confirmed with you before any work begins.

What do you need from our team?

Read access to the environments in scope, and an hour or so with a handful of people from each area so that we understand how the work is done today. We keep the time we ask of your team to a minimum and fit the sessions around their diaries.

What happens after the assessment?

You can run the roadmap yourselves, or we pick up the fixes, the governance and the Copilot rollout with you. Where the assessment has found processes worth building an agent for, we can take the first of those into production as a fixed scope piece of work.

Find out where AI pays back.

We will look at how your teams work and what sits in your systems, then tell you where AI is worth the investment and what needs attention first. Assessments start at £4,995 plus VAT for organisations of up to 50 users.
