Azure AI Language Services automatically scans uploaded documents (PDF, DOCX, TXT) and identifies PII categories — names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, and more. Documents are temporarily stored in encrypted Azure Blob Storage during processing, ensuring all data transfers meet GDPR and security requirements.
Staff review and approve AI-suggested redactions through a Power App, with the ability to resurface specific items before final approval. Power Automate orchestrates the workflow end-to-end, and a Desktop Flow (RPA) handles the precision replacement of redacted text within Word and PDF documents before the file is returned to SharePoint.
