Instant notifications for defects
CalMac crews across 33 ships log defects in a Power Apps app, with instant notifications, an auditable trail and Power BI trend analysis for predictive maintenance.
Inspection app
Our Inspection App replaces paper based inspections with a Power Platform app that crews and technicians use from a phone or desktop. Supervisors are notified the moment a defect is logged and Power BI shows the trends across your assets.

The problem
Paper sheets and emailed spreadsheets sit in vans and inboxes, so managers hear about a defect days after it was spotted.
Results are spread across folders and filing cabinets, which makes audits slow and trends hard to see.
Nobody is told automatically when something fails, so actions slip between shifts.
What it does
The Inspection App runs on Power Platform and Microsoft 365, and we set it up around your assets, forms and escalation routes.
Capture
Crews and technicians work through a checklist with prepopulated fields that match your process, and add photos and comments as they go.
Notify
When an item fails, the supervisor or engineer responsible is notified. They open the report, assign an action and track it to completion.
Report
Inspection results sit in SharePoint lists, so Power BI can show completion, recurring faults and outstanding actions across sites and assets.
How we work
Built on Microsoft 365
The app sits inside your own tenant, so your data, permissions and security settings stay where they are.
Inspection records are stored in SharePoint lists in your Microsoft 365.
Crews, supervisors and managers each see what their role needs.
We test the app in a secure environment before anyone relies on it.
Fields, statuses and notifications are configured to match how you work.
