How we work

How a Viva Insights project runs.

Discovery

We agree what you want to understand, such as meeting load or after-hours work, check your licences and talk to HR and data protection about privacy.

Design

We design the privacy settings, minimum group sizes, which managers and leaders get access and how results will be used.

Build

We configure Viva Insights in your tenant, set up the manager and leader views and test the privacy controls before anyone sees data.

Train

Employees get guidance on their personal insights, and managers and leaders learn to read team trends and act on them.

Go live

We switch Insights on with a clear message to staff about privacy and review the first results with you.

Frequently asked questions.

Can managers see individual employees' data?

No. Only the individual can see their own work patterns and meetings. Managers and leaders see de-identified team level trends.

What do employees get from it?

Personal recommendations on their work patterns and wellbeing, such as protecting focus time and taking breaks, in the flow of work.

What do leaders get?

An understanding of team working patterns, including how much after-hours work is happening and how many meetings take place each week, so they can protect their teams' time.

Do we need extra licences?

Some Viva features are included in Microsoft 365 E3 and E5 and others need additional licences. We map what your current plan covers before recommending anything.
