SharePoint, Intranet
"ThinkShare were a delight to work with and supported us every step of the way with great client service and strong technical expertise. They sought to really understand what we wanted from our intranet and helped up deliver a high quality solution. We’ve had great feedback from everyone who was involved with the project and our site users, across the organisation. We are extremely pleased with the result – an intranet that supports our colleagues doing their vital work, a site we can easily maintain and a clear content strategy to last us for years to come.”

Background
Shelter are a national homelessness charity. They help millions of people every year struggling with bad housing or homelessness through advice, support and legal services.
The Challenge
They had a 2016 SharePoint Intranet which was out of date and in need of modernisation. They also needed Retention Labels and Policies to ensure content remained up to date and maintained with old information reviewed or archived.
The Process
They selected us due to our Design-Led Approach to SharePoint intranets, allowing us to create an inspiring, branded intranet while sticking to the Out of the Box webparts and functionalities. We ran multiple discovery workshops with Shelter and key stakeholders understanding their needs and requirements from their new intranet.
In the design phase we created wireframes and then designs which reflected the conversations we had had with users during the Discovery Phase. We also worked with brand to ensure the intranet truly reflected the guidelines and was something the organisation could be proud of.
Within the build phase we created the site as per the signed off designs and navigation and also created the relevant retention labels and policies on their documents.
The Outcome
Finally we trained content owners on how to manage and maintain the intranet so that they could keep it up to date beyond go live. The intranet then went live to colleagues and the feedback has been hugely positive from all colleagues.
