How It Works

The Contextual Meta Data Manager is a Power Platform solution paired with a React-based configuration app. You register your SharePoint sites, define your metadata taxonomy, and create mapping rules. The system does the rest — monitoring document activity via the Microsoft Graph API and stamping metadata automatically.

The configuration dashboard gives administrators a real-time overview of registered sites, active flows, taxonomy terms and mapping rules. Charts track new and updated files over configurable time periods, so you can see exactly how your document landscape is evolving.

Environment variables let you control Graph API endpoints, audit retention periods and the metadata stamping master toggle — all without touching code. Each flow is registered, monitored and triggered on its own schedule, giving you full control over processing.
