What can Purview data loss prevention do?
It can show a policy tip warning someone they may be sharing something sensitive, block sharing with an override and a recorded justification, block sharing outright, move sensitive items at rest to a secure quarantine location and hide sensitive information in Teams chat.
Can we bring our existing retention schedule into Purview?
Yes. A file plan lets you import an existing retention plan into Microsoft 365 or build a new one, with retention labels and event-based retention periods.
How is content marked as a record?
Retention labels can mark content as a record, applied by users or automatically by detecting sensitive information, keywords or content types.
What does information protection cover?
Discovering and classifying sensitive data across SharePoint, OneDrive, Exchange, Teams, endpoints, on-premises and other cloud apps, with labels and explorers to see how the data is used.
